Technology Transfer

The ICT4BUS also provides financing to transfer, to other countries, ICT services that contribute to the strengthening of the SME competitiveness developed by other projects financed by the IDB or MIF. In these cases the maximum MIF’s contribution is up to US$ 200,000. The required counterpart funding is between 30 and 50% of the total cost of the project, depending on the country receiving the technology transfer.

In order to apply for this financing, you must submit a project proposal to the ICT4BUS team, using the Technology Transfer Project form. It is a requirement to submit you project proposal the establishment of a partnership or Memorandum of Understanding between the LEADER institution (which developed the original project) and the RECEPTOR institution (that receives the transfer and delivers the developed services to the beneficiary SME in the other country).
